Kellie Lu
Kellie is of Chinese and Japanese descent and was born and raised in Maryland. She attends the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Biology and Computer Science, intending to pursue a career in dentistry. Kellie helped start up this non-profit with the aspirations of spreading the availability to healthcare to families that lack the privilege. Kellie's journey is driven the belief that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their socio-economic status. As she continues her education and prepares for dental school, she will remain committed to her vision of a more equitable healthcare system

Daniel Martinez
Daniel is of African and Latino descent, born and raised in Maryland. He attends the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology, with the aspiration of pursuing a career in medicine. Daniel presented the idea of creating a nonprofit focusing on families that suffer from diabetes to his directors with the goal of making an impact in his local community. With his dad suffering from diabetes, he understands the emotional and financial impact diabetes can make on a family. He intends to continue to support struggling communities with his mission through Kids Insulin Initiative Inc. and into his professional career.

Sophia Nasir
Sophia is of Pakistani descent, born and raised in Maryland. She attends the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Biology with the goal of pursuing a career in medicine. Sophia joined the nonprofit with the intention of creating a voice in healthcare for impoverished communities and providing them with emotional and financial support. She intends to continue supporting this mission as she pursues her career goals in the future.
